Hey Beloveds, BE-LOVED!!!
Hey Beloveds, BE-LOVED!!!
Hey Beloveds, it’s been some time since my last post and I feel I just have to pen this down.
Truth is, I haven’t been writing new stuff because lately, I’m experiencing some attacks from the Devil, sheesh, I think I shouldn’t even write it in caps…let’s call him the devil with a small letter ‘d’ or crap, in short.
I haven’t had the best of weeks, and also haven’t been receiving revelations. Basically I just felt dry and a little depressed.
But praise God! Because His love for us never fails. I was glad that I attended Pastor (or is he called Reverend) Kenneth Copeland Ministry on Saturday. Personally, I really felt the love of God.
I was due for reservist training since last Thursday, and could not make it for the weekday sermons. And even on Saturday, I found excuses for myself not to attend.
But God placed so many of His beloveds to ‘pester’ me to go. So I did, and what a message it was! I just felt the love of God so deeply, and tears just rolled, free-flow I think. I don’t know how to explain that feeling.
I think many of us would have, one time or another, or perhaps even everyday, experience this. It’s just an outpouring of God’s love. Rev. Copeland shared that our Heavenly Father loves us the in the same way He loves His Son the Lord Jesus Christ in John 17:26 -“And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”
It just cause my human water taps to flow, I mean, how could you not be touched?
Our Heavenly Father loves us as much as He loves our Lord Jesus!!! Hallelujah!!!
Thank you Abba!!!
And by now, I believe those who have attended his services would have the book of John and 1 John firmly etched in their memory. In 1 John, in several places, repeated time and again, is the verse “God is love”.
In 1 John 4:8, it says: “He who does not love does not know God, for God is love”.
1 John 4:16 says “And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him”.
In my previous church, whenever a wedding is held in church, the wedding couple seem to favor this particular chunk of verses very much. That it got quoted time and again, it’s like the next thing you would recite besides the vow.
Nope, I’m not talking about 1 John here. I’m referring to the famous 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. I still remembered there were occasions when we even sang these verses like a hymn. Or is there a hymn already written by some famous man or woman of God.
Anyway, 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 reads like this:“Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. Love does not demand its own way. Love is not irritable, and it keeps no record of when it has been wronged. It is never glad about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. Love never fails.”
Bear with me here because I may be a little slow in not having realized the beauty of all these. Since we established earlier that God is love, so God = Love.
Let’s try substituting the word “Love” in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 and we see that the passage takes on an entirely new meaning.
Can you see the beauty of it all?
We just saw the characteristics of God in that summation of verses. Because God is love!
I’m not saying that reciting 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 is wrong but there’s such an amazing beauty to 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 if we see the loveliness of the passage. God revealed to us what He is all about.
And if by the time you finished reading 1 John chapter 4 and do not come away convinced that God loves us, I can only say that perhaps you come from Mars.
In 1 John 4: 10, the apostle John wrote: “In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins”.
Then he continues in the next verse: “Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another”. And why do we love?
The Bible says in 1 John 4:19, “We love Him because He first loved us”.
Hallelujah!!!
And like what our beloved Pastor Prince preached this Sunday, we are all Beloveds in Christ.
Anytime the devil attacks us, anytime we’re feeling down, or when you just need a hug, just remember, we are our Daddy God’s Beloveds!!! Amen!!!
And you know the best thing we can DO in response, knowing that God loves us so much???
And since we all always like to DO something about something.
The best thing, Beloveds, to DO something, is to BE-LOVED!!!
Beloveds, you are the BE-LOVED, loved by who? Our Abba, our Heavenly Father, who loves us the same way He loves His Son, Jesus!!!
So what are you waiting for? Hop on to good old Abba's lap now and just hug Him, kiss Him, tell Him you loved Him too.
Beloveds!!! God says to you and me, “BE-LOVED!”
Hallelujah!!!
Soaking shamelessly in His abundant LOVE,
weiwen
