“While you were sleeping… …”
“While you were sleeping…I never rested.
While you were sleeping…I watched over you.
While you were sleeping…I protected you.
While you were sleeping…I healed your sickness.
While you were sleeping…I wiped a tear from your nightmare.
While you were sleeping…I comforted you.
While you were sleeping…I hugged you.
While you were sleeping…I dined with you.
While you were sleeping…I danced with you.
While you were sleeping…I sang love songs to you.
While you were sleeping…I kissed you.
While you were sleeping…I whispered sweet nothings to you.
While you were sleeping…I never leave you nor forsake you…
Because you are my beloved child…and I LOVE YOU!”
- Daddy God through the Holy Spirit
In Your Presence...
To the Beloveds of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who are currently goiong through some challenges of their own...
When you feel tired, when you feel chastised, when you feel that someone is making things difficult for you, when you feel you are walking through a valley. (Psalms 23), be rest assured that He is with you.
In fact, He has already prepared a feast for you, He says, in front of your enemies. But how can you celebrate, you wonder? Because He has gotten the victory for you, that's why you can eat and drink and be merry in the face of adversity, in the face of your enemies.
As you are going through these challenges, just take time out. Close your eyes, go to your Daddy God. (Okay, tis may sound very strange to good obedient Christians who may ask: "Don't you think we should do more "Daily Bread" or read more of His Word???")
But personally, it's been very comforting to me.You know, in the eyes of our Daddy God, you are still His precious little girl or boy.
And that's how He likes you to be.
As your eyes are closed, imagine Him holding you by the hand, going out for a walk. Climb onto His lap. Rest there, if you will. Because He has come to give you rest. Hug him if you will.
Because He is love.
Have you seen a little boy, out of a sudden, run to his daddy or mummy's leg or lap and just wrap his arms around the parent or bury his head in his mummy's skirt?
That's why our Lord Jesus told his disciples not to hinder the children from coming to Him. He says in Mark 10: 13-16: "Let the children come to me, do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.
Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it."You know, I used to think it's because children are innocent and pure, and their minds are uncorrupted, not having experienced the ways of the world.
But the Holy Spirit drew my attention to something else. Little children, in case you're not aware, are very spontaneous. Their love is so genuine and pure. Whenever they rush towards their parents to embrace them, they are just saying: "Daddy, I need you" or "Mummy, I love you."
Our Heavenly Father is waiting for you to rush into His arms in the same manner, or bury your head in His lap. Talk to Him - He'll answer.
In fact, He desires that you listen to Him more. Many times, we "pray" or "complain" too much but you know, God is so humble and loving that He, the all-powerful one, listens to every word, that we, the powerless one shouts from our earthly positions.
And you know what He does, He just smiles and says to you: "Come, let me hug you, my beloved darling. I love you."
The Bible says, even the slightest groans reach to His throne. He loves you so much that every tear you drop, He has already counted and measured in a vessel. For He longs to gather us all like a mother hen, under the shadow of His wings.
And He wants you to remain there, Abide in Him, he says. It simply means: "Stay here with me."I love these precious moments with my Abba. And they never cease to bring tears to my eyes, when I opened them. Tears of joy, peace and loving warmth. His hugs, His laps, His holding me by my little hand.
This song comes to mind as I was writing this:
In Your Presence...
In Your Presence...
There is peace...
In Your Presence...
In Your Presence...
There is joy...
I will linger, I will stay...
In Your Presence...
Day by day...
Till Your likeness be seen in me...
Close your eyes, Beloveds.
Daddy is waiting...
The LOVE of God...is greater far...than tongue or pen can ever tell...
Desert Jesus - He'll still LOVE you. The disciples did that, Jesus never mention their betrayal. (Matthew 26:56)
Deny Jesus - He'll still LOVE you. Peter found out. When the rooster crowed. (Mark 14:66-72)
Doubt Jesus - He'll still LOVE you - Thomas found out. When he touched His wounds. (John 20:24-29)
Abandon Jesus - He'll still LOVE you. The prodigal son found out. When he returned to a feast. (Luke 15:11-24)"For nothing can separate us from the LOVE of God" - so convinced the Apostle Paul wrote. (Romans 8:39)For "God is LOVE", says John. (1 John 4:16)
